Your Stay at Gladwins Farm

Gladwins Farm, set within 22 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the Stour Valley, offers ten family-friendly self-catering holiday cottages.

During your stay you'll have access to a variety of fun activities and well-equipped facilities. Such as; an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna, an outdoor play area and tennis court, a lake (where you can fish) and animals, including; pigs, goats, chickens, horses and sheep - which are more than happy to be fed.

Gladwins Farm is also home to Beautique22 a health and beauty salon which offers a whole range of treatments. We also have a Visitor Centre and Shop where you can borrow toys, tennis racquets, balls, a croquet set and boules or buy home cooked frozen food or ice cream.

There is plenty to see and do away from Gladwins Farm too. Situated in Nayland, we are a short drive from local amenities and entertainment. 15 minutes away is Colchester, home to the infamous zoo which has over 260 species, as well as Colchester Castle, where you can walk through 2000 years of some of the most important events in British history and the Mercury Theatre, which has regular showings of popular plays.

There are also a number of diverse towns and villages in the surrounding areas, such as; Dedham, where you can hire boats and row up to Flatford Mill, Hadleigh which has a range of shops and restaurants and Wherstead which is home to Jimmy's Farm.

Nayland itself has a pub - The Anchor Inn - which offer seasonal, locally sourced and home smoked specialties and also hosts an annual beer festival, Blue Owl, which is a small family-run business where you can paint ceramics, take part in story time sessions, have a quick coffee or purchase gifts. There is also a small Post Office in the village, as well as two shops to help you keep the cupboards topped up during your stay with us at Gladwins Farm.

Our cosy, welcoming and well-equipped cottages have everything you need to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Save on the packing and order one of our hampers prior to arrival. We have two different hampers to choose from, a breakfast hamper and a snack hamper. We also stock Adnams beer, gin, vodka, rosé and Chardonnay 'fizz'.

It is important to emphasise just how baby and child friendly our cottages are. We have a wide range of baby equipment available for you to borrow. Items include cots, high chairs, baby baths, sterilisers and monitors. Within all of our baby and child friendly cottages we have baby suitable bowls, plates, cups and cutlery which come as standard.

We understand the difficulty of remembering every last item when packing and so we have emergency baby packs available which include nappies and wipes. Swimming nappies are also available from our shop. Gladwins Farm has been fully tried and tested by our very own small people, there is nothing that hasn't been thought of.

If you fancy a night off we have a list of local, CRB checked baby sitters to help look after the children while you explore the local area.

With plenty to do at Gladwins Farm, such as, splashing around in our indoor pool, playing tennis or feeding the animals, you'll never be bored. Our ideal location means that there is plenty to explore right on your doorstep - long walks along the Suffolk countryside or fish and chips on the Essex coastline, we look forward to seeing you soon.
