There is a wealth of art galleries, festivals, exhibitions and theatres to visit in the region. Latitude Festival is held each summer in Suffolk, as is Snape Proms. Visitors interested in art should head to The Sainsbury Centre in Norfolk, and Firstsite Gallery in Colchester. The New Wolsey theatre in Ipswich is a big hit for the performing arts with an eclectic mix of music, comedy, and family theatre.

Stately homes are plentiful in this part of The UK, as are castles, churches, cathedrals and even steam railways! Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, Suffolk is a splendid example of a Tudor moated mansion. Or you could head to Colchester, the oldest recorded town, to visit the Castle there.
