Packing Tips for a Christmas Break
Good holiday packing is a form of art. Sadly, we don’t have the same skills (or bag!) as Mary Poppins...
You’ve booked your holiday cottage, so the next thing to think about is what you’re going to take with you to make your holiday go as smoothly as possible. Here are some tips to help:
Think carefully about the clothes you want to take with you, as the British weather can be quite unpredictable, even in the summer. However you don’t want to end up bringing the kitchen sink.
Ensure you pack clothes that you can mix and match together and be sure to bring enough layers, this way you’ll look stylish no matter the occasion.
Before you travel, ensure you check what’s included at your specific cottage. As we offer an indoor pool and holiday cottages with a hot tub, be sure not to forget your swimwear.
Always pack your dog when coming to Gladwins Farm. The countryside in Suffolk is amongst the nations most beautiful and very dog friendly, welcomed into virtually every country pub with memorable trails and walks. Gladwins Farm is of course a dog friendly environment with our cottages supplied with the basic dog essentials.
Don’t forget to pack your children. It’s the school holidays and Gladwins Farm should be your number one choice for a UK cottage break. With a range of activities, sports, walks, cycle routes and most of all babysitting, taking a break to enjoy a meal in the local pubs and restaurants!
All our cottages come equipped with kitchens, so all you need to do is bring your own food and you’ll be ready to start cooking. Be sure to always bring your home comforts to your cottage stay, however the visitor shop is always open with a choice of locally sourced basic essentials and meats.
You could even pre-book one of our Gladwins Hampers or add a nice bottle of champagne to really celebrate your holiday.
