Some of our favourite things about Suffolk are its stunning natural beauty, coastlines, forests and how rich in history it...
We understand that looking for the perfect Suffolk holiday cottage can be tough. With many beautiful cottages available, it can be overwhelming to find the ideal one, which is why we’re trying to make it easier. Below is a rundown of each of our pet-friendly, family-friendly, self-catering cottages with key highlights to help you distinguish. Enjoy!
Kersey and Melford cottages both sleep two and are perfect for a romantic getaway. With a generous open plan kitchen/living area, Melford is a little larger than Kersey with plenty of space for you to sit back and relax. Both cottages have room for a cot, meaning the little’ uns can enjoy a relaxing stay at Gladwins Farm too.
With its own garden, Gainsborough cottage has access to a private hot tub, patio furniture and a barbecue. Heated using wood chip fired central heating and a log burning stove, Gainsborough is cosy all year round and provides a super relaxing feel. The open kitchen/dining/living area adds to this cosiness and is well designed to include a range of necessities.
Hadleigh is a larger apartment-style cottage with a significant master bedroom housing a Queen sized bed that can be split into twin beds. The second bedroom can act as either a single, twin or small double room. Hadleigh is suitable for less able guests as the bath is lower, but they are a few steps from the yard.
Looking for something more compact? Dedham is for you. The open galleried double bedroom allows for open plan living, while the open plan kitchen, dining and living room opens out onto a shared patio with access to a barbecue and outdoor furniture.
Lavenham has several traditional Tudor features, including exposed beams and medieval architecture. The upstairs king sized open-galleried bedroom has a roof-light meaning the beautiful countryside can be seen at all times.
Both Constable and Wiston sleep six making them perfect for a family holiday. Constable has one double bedroom downstairs and a mezzanine double bedroom that leads through to a twin bedroom. The cottage has beautiful views across the Stour Valley, and the private garden has its very own hot tub.
Wiston, graded NAS Mobility Level 2 due to its accessible ground floor, has a twin bedroom on the ground floor and two double bedrooms upstairs. It is the closest cottage to our Woodland Walk, which means you can sit back and relax in the private garden and spot wildlife.
Chelsworth has been graded 5-star gold and is an accessible cottage that sleeps eight people in total. Ideal for larger groups of friends or families, our luxurious well-equipped cottage has a hot tub within its very own fenced garden, a log burning stove and en-suite bathrooms.
Sleeps twelve +
The Farmhouse, which sleeps up to sixteen, is our largest cottage. Initially designed for up to twelve people in the main house, we created an adjoining annexe which sleeps a further four guests. This cottage is a firm favourite for families and bigger groups with its six bedrooms – four kingsize and two doubles, three of which are en-suite. The main family bathroom – and the annexe – which is all on one level, has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a lounge.
Who doesn’t like a cottage with a heated indoor swimming pool? Our self-catering cottages all have access to the on-site indoor swimming pool as well as seven of our cottages with private hot tubs. On top of this, all of our cottages have access to the on-site activities and leisures throughout Gladwins Farm. To help you out, click here to read our article on things to do at Gladwins.
