Covid-19 Guest Information

How does Gladwins Farm keep staff and guests safe?

Our staff have been working hard behind the scenes to get our locations ready for you.

Here’s what we’ve done to guarantee an even safer, cleaner stay:

  • given each cottage an extra deep clean before we reopen
  • adapted the check-in and check-out process to minimise contact
  • added social distancing floor markings

Before you check-in, we’ll send you an email with all the details. When you arrive at Gladwins Farm it will be a contactless check in, but please know we live closeby and are always at the end of the phone 24/7.

How does Gladwins Farm ensure social distancing?

Social distancing happens naturally on the farm, we are set in 22 acres with plenty of space to spread out!

The nature of our remote, rural locations means it’s easy to find plenty of wide, open space. And because you have your cottage all to yourself, you can enjoy complete seclusion for your entire stay.

How has Gladwins Farm adapted the cleaning process to reflect the current situation?

Our staff members are trained to carry out the highest standards of cleanliness and we always deep clean your cottage before your stay. While we’ve been closed, every single cottage has undergone an additional deep clean.

We’ve also developed a new two-step process: after our usual deep clean, your cottage will be cleaned again. The second phase of cleaning focuses on cottage hotspots.

Cottage hotspots are the most used and most commonly touched areas of your cottage such as door handles, light switches and kitchen counters.

How does Gladwins Farm keep its hot tubs and pool sanitised?

We follow guidance from The British and Irish Spa Hot Tub Association (BISHTA).

Our staff members give each hot tub a daily dosing of sanitiser to keep the water healthy, while ensuring the inside of the tubs above the waterline and lids are effectively sanitised.

You might see our staff carrying out daily checks. This is to ensure your hot tub is sanitised effectively. Social distancing will be applied throughout this process.

We also recommend taking a shower before you relax in the hot tub.

The swimming pool will run on a timetable basis where each cottage books its own slot, the changing rooms will be closed.

What essentials will my cottage be stocked with?

Our cottages are designed to feel like a home from home.

We provide cleaning cloths, sprays and hand sanitisers for all of our guests. These are kept in your cottage ready for your arrival. This is so (if you want to) you can keep things clean the same way you like to at home.

Your cottage is also stocked with enough toilet paper and towels for your stay. There’s hand soap in the bathroom too.

If local businesses are closed, what can we do for fun on our holiday?

The beauty of Gladwins Farm is there’s plenty of activities, wildlife watching and den building to long walks and picnics, the woodland around you provides all the entertainment and tranquillity you need.

How is Gladwins Farm reviewing its process to align with Government guidance?

To ensure the wellbeing of guests and staff members, Gladwins Farm is constantly reviewing its processes. Our priority is to ensure everything we do is effective and reflects current government guidance. We appreciate your patience and support during this ever-changing situation.
