What will I find in the kitchen?

What additional items can I ask for when booking?

We have a huge range of baby equipment to borrow ranging from cots to highchairs to sterilisers. A list will be sent out to you with your booking confirmation. We do not supply bed linen for cots. #

Do you provide towels?

We provide a bath towel per person, a hand towel in the bathroom and two tea towels. You'll need to bring your own towels for the swimming pool and the beach. #

When are your changeover days?

From the start of the school Easter holidays until the end of October half term we change over on a Friday. #

What about the rest of the year?

We change over on Mondays and Fridays, so you can choose either a 3, 4 or 7 night break. #

What time can we arrive & leave on changeover days?

Cottages are available from 4pm, and we need them by 10am the day you leave. #

Do I need to tell you if there are any changes in who’s coming from those originally mentioned in the booking?

Yes please. #

Do the cottages have access to wireless broadband?

Yes all of them. #

Do you accept dogs in your cottages?

Yes apart from in Lavenham and Hadleigh. #

Can the children feed the animals?

Yes they can apart from the horses. We provide bins in your kitchens to collect food scraps to feed to the animals and we also sell bags of animal food in the Visitor Centre. #

How far are you from the beach?

We are about 30 minutes from Frinton and Mersea Island. #

Can I order my food shopping to be delivered to the cottage?

Of course, all major supermarkets will deliver to Gladwins, please just put the name of the cottage on the order and ensure that you will be there to receive it. #

How many dogs are we allowed in the cottage?

We allow up to 3 small, well behaved dogs in the cottages and charge £20 per dog. We ask that they are not left alone in the cottages, not allowed on the furniture or upstairs and must be kept under control at all times. #

What fish are in the lake and do we need a rod licence?

The lake is stocked with coarse fish (Carp & Rudd), yes you need a rod licence. We do have a small selection of fishing equipment for you to borrow. #
