The Rose & Crown at Great Horkesley

Suffolk Pub Food: Lovely traditional bar meals and is also under new management.
Children welcome.
5 minutes by car.
Nayland and its surroundings is something of a 'foodie paradise'. We have such a wide selection of good eateries that you can stay for a fortnight and eat at a different restaurant or good pub every night. We have made private arrangements with some of these places and the list is growing. Try The Anchor in Nayland by the river for a free drink with your meal. Other nearby pubs have great beer and gardens, carveries and even a well
in the dining room! All the details can be found in our Visitor Information Centre.
Travel a little further and have silver service down by the river at Le Talbooth, recently voted the Most Romantic Place to
Dine in 2005. Go to the seaside at Mersea and taste the freshest seafood and local oysters, washed down with Mersea Island's
own dry white wine. A short trip to Pin Mill and you can watch the yachts as you enjoy the action from the bar at the famous
Butt & Oyster. Jimmy's Farm is on the way, so pick up some of his famous Rare Breed sausages.
You don't have to go out to eat well! Pauline's famous fruit crumbles provide the dessert after our local chef's wide choice
of main course meals to be found in our freezer. Local ice cream is a firm favourite and we send you the menu with your balance
invoice so you can pre-order from the menu. We offer you special Starter Packs to order, ready to get you off to a fine start in
the kitchen and after careful and thorough research, we think you will love our Taste of Anglia Treats Pack and it's all from local
suppliers and growers. |
